The start of the top European leagues are closing in, and the clubs are in silly season on the transfer market in order to prepare for the upcoming season. Here are some of the latest done deals and rumors.
Pogba Set To Undergo Medical At Man United
Manchester United is getting one step closer to finalizing the £100 million deal for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, as the Frenchman will undergo a medical.
Pogba, 23, left United back in 2012 on a free transfer. After four successful seasons at Juventus, it looks like he’s heading back to Old Trafford.
United posted an update on their official website on Sunday, stating that Pogba is set to undergo a medical at the AON training complex.
“Paul Pogba has been granted permission to have a medical in order to finalize his transfer from Juventus to Manchester United,” the statement read.
Reports say that Pogba will sign a five-year contract with the Red Devils, which would see him earn £275,000 per week.
Sunderland Signs Djilobodji
Sunderland has completed a £8 million move for centre back Papy Djilobodji from Chelsea. The Senegalese international has signed a four-year deal with the club, and is new manager David Moyes’ first signing.
“I’m so happy to join Sunderland and I believe we can do something this year,” Djilobodji told the club’s official website. “Sunderland is a big team and a big club with big fans, so we will do our best to give them what they deserve.”
The 27 year old spent the second part of last season on loan at Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga, where he made 14 appearances. He signed for Chelsea last summer, but only made one first team appearance for the Blues.
Celtic Completes Sinclair Move
Scottish league champions Celtic has signed forward Scott Sinclair from Aston Villa on a four-year deal for a transfer fee of around £3 million.
Sinclair, 27, leaves relegated Villa after just one season and rejoins manager Brendan Rodgers who he played for during his time at Swansea City.
Sinclair scored six goals in 27 appearances for Villa last season in all competitions.

Man City Signs Gabriel Jesus
Manchester City has completed a £27 million move for 19-year-old striker Gabriel Jesus from Palmeiras. The Brazilian has signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with the club.
Jesus is currently representing his country at the Olympics games in Rio, and will stay in Brazil with Palmeiras until the end of December when he will make the move to England.
“Manchester City is one of the best clubs in the world so I’m really pleased to sign,” Jesus told City’s official website.
“We have many great talents in the team and a fantastic manager in Pep Guardiola that I can learn so much from.
“I’m looking forward to showing the City fans what I can do and I think we’ll have a great future together!”
Villa Completes Move For McCormack
Aston Villa has completed a move for Fulham striker Ross McCormack for a £12 million transfer fee. The Scotland international has signed a four-year contract.
Villa are looking to bounce back straight to the Premier League after the embarrassing campaign last season that saw them crash out of the English top flight with just 17 points in 38 matches. McCormack leaves Fulham after two seasons, where he scored 38 league goals in 89 appearances. The 29-year-old has been capped 13 times for Scotland, scoring twice.
