The league seasons are drawing closer and closer, but in the meantime the clubs are in full swing in order to bolster their squads for the coming season. Here are some of the latest done deals and rumors.
Napoli Brings In Milik To Replace Higuain
Napoli has reinvested some of the £76 million they received from Juventus in the deal for Gonzalo Higuain, as the Serie A runners-up last season has completed a deal for Ajax striker Arkadiusz Milik. The 22-year-old Polish international cost Napoli just under £30 million, and has signed a five-year contract with the Italian side.
Milik scored 21 league goals in 31 appearances for Ajax as they finished second in the Eredivisie, two points behind winners PSV Eindhoven.
“Arek did a great job at Ajax, his goals-per-game ratio says it all,” said Ajax director of football Marc Overmars. “I can only give our scouting team a compliment for bringing him to our attention.
“Napoli were really keen to sign him and at some stage we reached a point where it became interesting for us financially. Plus Arek himself really wanted to join Napoli.”

Man City Completes Sane Deal
Manchester City has signed German winger Leroy Sane for £37 million from Schalke. The 20-year-old has signed a five-year deal with the club.
Sane scored eight goals in 33 Bundesliga appearances last season for Schalke, and was awarded with a spot in Germany’s squad for Euro 2016. Sane revealed that one of the reasons why he chose City, was new manager Pep Guardiola.
“I feel really good, I’m happy to be here and happy that it has all worked out,” Sane told mcfc.co.uk. “Now I can settle here in Manchester and play for City.
“One of the reasons I decided to join City was Pep Guardiola; he convinced me to come here and that I can continue to progress. I know I will learn a lot under him and now I can take the next step in my career.”
Wolfsburg Signs Blaszczykowski
Wolfsburg has completed a move for Polish international Jakub Blaszczykowski from fellow Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund. The winger leaves Dortmund after nine years. He made 197 league appearances for the club over eight seasons before going out on loan last season to Fiorentina.
Blaszczykowski has signed a three-year contract with Wolfsburg for a reported fee of €5 million. He’s made 84 appearances for the Polish national team and was in the starting lineup for Euro 2016.
Portland Picks Up Former Newcastle Defender Taylor
The Portland Timbers have signed free agent Steven Taylor. The 30-year-old centre back was available on a free transfer after his contract with Newcastle expired. Taylor is expected to slot in next to former West Bromwich and Birmingham defender Liam Ridgewell.
“Steven Taylor gives us a proven piece that can step into our back line and perform immediately,” Portland coach Caleb Porter said.
“His experience and leadership will be very important to our team down the stretch.”
Taylor made 268 appearances for Newcastle during his 13 years in the first team.
Boateng Joins Las Palmas
Kevin Prince Boateng has joined La Liga side Las Palmas on a one-year deal. The 29-year-old Ghanaian spent the second part of last season back at his old club AC Milan after his contract was terminated by his German club Schalke 04. He was released by Milan at the end of the season, and has now opted to go to Spain.
Boateng made 15 appearances for Ghana between 2010-2014 and played in World Cup 2010 and World Cup 2014.
