Former United States Men’s National Team manager Bob Bradley has been appointed new manager of French Ligue 2 side Le Havre.

Bradley, 57, left Norwegian side Stabaek to join Le Havre, and he’s looking forward to the new challenge.

“Becoming head coach of the HAC, France’s oldest football club, is a new challenge in my career,” Bradley told hac-foot.com. “In the past I have already noted this type of challenge, particularly in Egypt and Norway. Leaders have demonstrated a real motivation, which I share, to build performance over the long term. I feel here a real opportunity to experience beautiful sporting and human emotions. I will put all my experience and my expertise HAC service to help the club regain the elite of French football and lay the foundations for an ambitious and solid project.”

Bradley has coached on several different levels, including to international managing jobs. He coached the United States between 2006-2011 before taking over the Egyptian national team. He left Egypt in 2013 and then took over Stabaek in 2014.

Club president Vincent Volpe commented on the new hire in an official statement.

“We are proud to bring Bob Bradley to HAC,” Volpe said. “Throughout his great career, marked by success, Bob has demonstrated his management qualities in the US, in Egypt and in Norway. Without a doubt, he is a natural leader with strong international experience, and we are confident that his management ability and experience will bring much to the Havre Athletic Club.”
