Sunderland striker Jermain Defoe has taken out an ad looking for a personal assistant to help him grow his global brand and stock his fridge.
The Guardian reports that Defoe, 32, place the ad for a “24/7” executive assistant on secsinthecity.co.uk and if you want the position you’ll have to be able to develop apps for the iPhone, organize his diary, stock his fridge and water his plants.
The position pays between £50,000 and £60,000 per year ($78,700 – $94,400) and sounds like a pretty hectic job. The former Toronto FC striker is looking to grow his global brand and there’s where the new executive assistant would play a part.
The ideal candidate will be responsible to “create a global brand for the Jermain Defoe name, growing his online database on his website, Twitter, Facebook and other social networking platforms” as well as “gaining further recognition within the media” and produce “his own iPhone apps.”
In addition to growing the Defoe global brand, the assistant would also perform everyday tasks like running errands such as, “Organize all Jermain’s personal needs i.e. dry cleaners, gardeners, house refurbishments, sourcing interior designers and everyday task etc. Regularly checking the home when Jermain is away, making sure all is in place for his return i.e. fridge is stocked and plants watered and house is clean. Select and organize wardrobe with specific designers for special events/appearances i.e. Oswald Boateng, Harrods, ZAP etc”
Defoe did his part to grow the brand as he scored in Sunderland’s 1-1 draw against Swansea over weekend.
