We have about four weeks left of the transfer window for the major European soccer leagues. Silly Season has been anything but boring this summer and here are some of the latest transfers and rumors as teams head into the new season.
Edin Dzeko is leaving Manchester City for AS Roma. The 29-year-old Bosnian international passed the medical exams on Friday and will be revealed to the fans in the near future after he signs his contract. Dzeko was a great striker for Wolfsburg in the German Bundesliga before coming over to City in 2011. He’s had very limited playing during his time at City, but still managed to score 50 goals in 130 league appearances.
He’s been voted Bosnian Footballer of the Year three years in a row and has 42 goals in 72 caps for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Roma is rumored to pay around $22 million for Dzeko.

Esteban Cambiasso has found himself a new club after leaving Leicester City as his contract expired. The 34-year-old Argentine midfielder will be representing Greek side Olympiacos. Cambiasso played 33 games for Leicester last season and scored 5 goals from his defensive midfield position, and was voted Player of the Year by the Leicester fans.
He brings a wealth of experience with him to Greece as he has over 400 games for Inter Milan, and won the Champions League with the team back in 2010. He also won five Serie A titles and the 2010 FIFA Club World Cup. During his time in the Argentine national team, he played 52 games and scored 5 goals.

The Guardian reports that Wolfsburg has set a price tag of close to $70 million on their 24-year-old midfielder Kevin de Bruyne. Manchester City has been rumored to be interested in the Belgian international, but Wolfsburg doesn’t seem too keen on letting him go. De Bruyne joined Wolfsburg last January from Chelsea and had a fantastic first season and a half with the club.
He scored 10 goals and added 20 assists last season in the Bundesliga in 34 games, which prompted bigger clubs to start sniffing around. Despite being fairly young, de Bruyne already has 30 caps for Belgium.
Rumors were floating around that Ashley Young could be leaving Manchester United as he was entering the last year of his contract. But news came out on Friday that the 30-year-old winger has signed a new deal with United. The new deal with club expires in 2018, but has a one-year extension option on it.
Young has played well for United during the preseason and has found great chemistry with left-back Luke Shaw. Young is entering his fifth season at Old Trafford after coming over from Aston Villa in 2011.

Fabio Borini is heading to Fiorentina according to Gazzetta dello Sport. The 24-year-old Italian striker has been deemed expendable after Liverpool’s shopping spree during the summer. Borini will head to Fiorentina on loan this season, with an option for the club to make the move permanent.
Borini played in 18 games for Liverpool last season in all competitions, scoring only once.
The Daily Mail reports that Aston Villa is on the hunt for more players after losing star striker Christian Benteke to Liverpool and captain Fabian Delph to Manchester City. Manager Tim Sherwood is said to have his sights set on three English players in Tottenham duo Aaron Lennon and Andros Townsend and West Bromwich defender Joleon Lescott.
After signing several French-speaking players during the summer, the Daily Mail writes that Sherwood wants to bring in the English trio to balance the squad.
Sunderland has signed French midfielder Yann M’Vila to a season-long loan deal from Rubin Kazan. The 25-year-old midfielder has represented France on 22 occasions, and will probably see the move to Sunderland as a good opportunity to make a case for himself for the European Championship squad next summer.
The club has an option to make the deal permanent after the season-long loan has concluded. M’Vila has spent part of last season on loan at Inter Milan.
