Bayern Munich stay undefeated in the Bundesliga with a solid 4-0 win over Stuttgart on Saturday at the Allianz Arena.
It was a clear win for the league leaders as they make it 12 games in the league without a defeat. With 11 wins and one draw, they top the table on 34 points. The four goals add to an already impressive goal difference that is now up to +34.
Manager Pep Guardiola was happy with the performance of his team and the form they have shown so far this season.
“Stuttgart had four or five chances,” Guardiola told fcbayern.de after the game. “I like teams with this mentality. Many thanks to my players. It’s difficult to play with this mentality every three days. So far they’ve done very well in all competitions. I hope our players return in good health from international duty so we can keep up this mentality until the Christmas break.”
Arjen Robben opened up the scoring in the 11th minute, and the Dutch international was pleased with the win.
“We played very, very well in the intense first half and exploited the space,” Robben said. “I didn’t make use of all the chances I had, which is annoying, but perhaps I just saved up my goals for more important games.”
Douglas Costa made it 2-0 in the 17th minute and before halftime it was 4-0 after goals by Robert Lewandowski in the 37th minute and Thomas Muller in the 40th minute.
