PSG On The Hunt For Feeder Clubs

Paris Saint-Germain is looking for feeder clubs in order to send their prospects to get experience of first-team soccer. Reports say that PSG is closing in on a deal with Dutch side PEC Zwolle.

Le Parisien reports that PSG are looking for feeder clubs in order to send players on loan. The concept has been utilized by other clubs, and Chelsea has a deal with Dutch side Vitesse. Chelsea has sent five players to Vitesse on loan this season in order to give them playing time at a high level.

The benefit for getting a feeder club in the Netherlands is that it’s much easier for non-European Union players to get a work permit compared to the United Kingdom or France.

According to reports, agent Mino Raiola is handling the negotiations for PSG with Zwolle about the partnership. Raiola, who is the agent of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Mario Balotelli and Maxwell just to name a few, is one of the biggest agents in the soccer world.

PSG is on the verge of signing midfielder Gustavo Hebling and he would be a prime candidate for a loan spell at a feeder club. The 19-year-old Brazilian would come as a free transfer after his contract with Sao Paulo expired. Hebling represented the Brazilian U-17 national team in the U-17 World Cup in 2013.

Le Parisien also reports that PSG is also looking for a team in Spain to become a feeder club. With two teams to send young players to, PSG could take in a lot more prospects and give them first-team soccer in hopes that it would help the development of their talents.
